Finally Over!!

Its finally over!! So, my internship at GE finally came to a happy ending. Had a small farewell at the Cafeteria by the Finance team. The institute will be opening from 1st of July, so now I have a full week of doing nothing. Just chilling out, in this hot summer, zu Haus, scuffling with my brother, playing Basket ball in the Drawing Room, Table tennis on the Dining table, etc….. (Thus, trying to evolve new outdoor games that can be played indoors, of course if the house is insured :) ). Still feeling indolent and also being no new developments in life, there is nothing much to write about. So Sayonara, Shabba Khair, Byeee….. (Plz pardon me for writing such a crap. Still wondering how could write such things)!

Excepts - Piya bole.......

Away from Blogsville for almost a week. Well its shows how busy I was? (Hee hee.. Kehne main kya jaata hai). Seriously, I was involved in giving my summer project the finishing touch. Now, its almost over, but to the extent my close friends knew me, my finishing touch never neds as there are very few instances when I was fully satisfued with the look of the projects & presentations (Aamir khan ishtyle....).

However, I happened to lend my ear to a beautiful song from 'Parineeta' last week and I found it so mesmerizing, so good that I actually started singing it in the Office Cab, loud enough to raise some eyelids staring me
J. How lucky were they, they got a chance to listen to me !! (Infact, how lucky was I, to not been thrown out by them). Anyways as I already said I found the song really interesting, especially the lyrics, so here are some excerpts of the song:

Piyu bole piya bole jaanu na
Jiya dole hole hole kyon yeh dole jaanu na
Dil ki jo baatein hain, baatein jo dil ki hain
Dil hi mein rakhna piya
Lab to na kholoon main, kholoon na lab to par
Aakhon se sab keh diya
Piyu bole piya bole kya yeh bole jaanu na
Jiya dole hole hole kyon yeh dole jaanu na
Ek nadi se maine poochha ithla ke chaldi kahan
Door tere pee ka ghar hai balkhaake chaldi kahan
Preet rootha thi phir cham cham woh barsi hi teri tarah piya
Piyu bole piya bole kya yeh bole jaanu na Jiya dole hole hole kyon yeh dole jaanu na

My First Crush

You are my first crush,
In my heart and in my head,
All over the surroundings and in the air,
And yet I plead for more.

When you are away I miss you so,
My heart is full of sand.
Yet when you're heremy stupid fear,
Won't let me touch your hand.

I can not sleep, I can not eat,
I'm so swathed up in you.
My thoghts coast up, away from words,
And fade into the blue.

I know this not your fault,
The feelings are mine.
Yet if you could, please come to me,
And put your arms around me, and hold me and say,
you love me, You Love Me, YOU LOVE ME......

Taggie !!!

Till now I was enjoying other’s post on this tagging game and was thinking how this simple game be used to familiarize with the author. Getting out some secrets, some untold thoughts…. Well now its my turn to reveal a portion of me. Thanks to Rhicha who gave me this opportunity and hope that you all will like the post. (In continuation of previous posts, rather say insane posts, this post will also include some crazy comments not meant to hurt someone’s feelings. So please excuse me for that. Kyonki abhi to main “Ek Chota sa Nanha sa bacha hoon”). So here it goes,

THREE NAMES YOU GO BY:

  • Sonu   – My Nick Name. It was a well-kept secret till now!!
  • Chotu – Anybody who doesn’t even know my name, calls me by this name.
  • Rahul

THREE SCREEN NAMES YOU HAVE HAD:

Oops! My all secrets are going public. But as I’ve already promised to be honest with the quiz so I’ll admit here that I used to chat with the name ‘Upasana’ two-three years back. Actually it’s quite a fun chatting with that name. Occasionally after three-four net meetings I used to disclose that I am actually a guy with the abovementioned name. Needless to say, that nobody came back again :-D However, for the quiz sake here are my other screen names :

  • raahuljjain – Yahoo
  • rahuljjain – Rediff

Don’t ask why I have so many a’s and j’s, even I don’t know J

THREE PHYSICAL THINGS YOU LIKE ABOUT YOURSELF:

Kahan se shuru karoon. Lemme think. Umm……  mmm…….. Oh yes that one! Naa……..

Ok gave up. Naa not so easily. Again lemme think……

  • Well my EYES will be my obvious choice. (Cat eyes) These I’ve inherited from my mother.
  • Next will be my FINGERS, as many consider long fingers to be more artistic and at least in my case it is true.
  • Lastly, it’ll be my face as I like cute faces.

THREE PHYSICAL THINGS YOU DON'T LIKE ABOUT YOURSELF:

This sounds pretty easy but still it is hard to actually find out. Imagine not liking something in a perfect body like mine J Ok jokes apart, the three physical things that I don’t like in me are

  • My Face. I said I like cute faces but not when it coincides with childish features, especially at the age of 22.
  • My curly Hairs. I’ve to spend much time adjusting & combing them.
  • My figure as well as my height. I can be the brand ambassador of any gym or health spas. (Confused! Well they can show me as the one before joining their center). Even in the case of my height I wanted to be slightly taller (at least 6 feet, especially when the girls likes taller men).

THREE PARTS OF YOUR HERITAGE:

  • Jainism. I am a typical Jain! Praying every morning is a must for me, Never ate non-veg, not even eggs or things made from eggs like cakes, cookies, etc., never eating anything before taking bath, etc. My friends usually get irritated with some of these habits.
  • My Eyes. Already talked about it.
  • Respect for everyone. That I’ve inherited from my father. He respects even the peons in his office or the beggars on the road.  He can’t think ill for anyone.

THREE THINGS THAT SCARE YOU:

  • Dreams. The only thing that really scares me a lot (But not always, I do have sweet dreams too)
  • Dogs. My neighbor has two big ones, and last but certainly not the least
  • Girls (I know I’ll be spanked harshly for this, but can’t help). Girls really scare me a lot, particularly because of their unpredictability. You can never know what they are up to the next moment.

THREE OF YOUR EVERYDAY ESSENTIALS:

Tried but can’t restrict it to three L

§         Bathing (Can’t help but have to write it as I can’t eat anything before bathing J) and therefore eating a lot is also one of the most essentials for me.

§         Praying is a must.

§         Sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeping (That means a sound sleep, in fact I am famous as the present Kumbhkaran amongst my family members and friends)

§         Listening to Songs, especially slow songs (Mushy-mushy types), and

§  Checking Mails, Net Surfing, Reading something interesting, etc…

THREE THINGS YOU ARE WEARING RIGHT NOW:

Typical Office wears. Black Trousers, Rusty brown shirt and of course a Timex watch.

THREE THINGS YOU WANT IN A RELATIONSHIP:

Well for me understanding comes at the no.1 podium, next comes mutual respect and sharing, And also in sync with my personality Space would be required automatically.

TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE (in no particular order):

This is my kinda question. J Can I give all lies? What? No… Ok, here are my statements. (Took a clue from Rhicha’s statements).

  • I usually tell lies.
  • I love liars, therefore
  • I love myself.

Now Guess which is what?

THREE PHYSICAL THINGS ABOUT THE OPPOSITE SEX THAT APPEAL TO YOU:

Hmmmm, now do you expect me to tell the truth here J ? Actually I like anything and everything in them. So I’m starting from the top:

  • Hairs (Obviously, no one will like a bald girl J). I like one with long manes flipping in the air as the breezes goes past them. (Oh I actually started dreaming)
  •  Eyes. The one from which she can talk without even uttering a word. Those big black eyes. Wow!
  • Lips. Like those of Diya Mirza.

One thing is for sure, come what may, I starts thinking like a shayar when there is a mention of girls (Can’t help!!)

THREE THINGS YOU WANT TO DO REALLY BADLY RIGHT NOW:

  • Going back to the Institute and meet my friends.
  • Going on a week-long holiday at some hill station, and
  • I really wanna go to the Loo………… (Oops, I shouldn’t write such things here but what should I do, it’s the only thing which I really badly wanted right now!)

THREE CAREERS YOU'RE CONSIDERING:

I consider the question as my three dream jobs and they are:

§         Singer (But cruel nature restricted me to only Bathroom singing J)

§         Engineer, more specifically Automobile Engineer. I love to diagnose any sort of gadget I came across; in fact I’ve scrutinized the intricacies of mobiles of various friends (Not Mine).

§         Consultant (coz it is the easiest thing to give advice to others and I’m good at it)

THREE PLACES YOU WANT TO GO ON VACATION:

§         Ahichetra – it is one of the foremost holy places of Jains

§         Bhutan – Just read the travelogue of a friend and amazed to read about it.

§         Home – Because my loveliest vacations would be to sleep, sleep and SLEEP

THREE KIDS NAMES YOU LIKE:

That’s Interesting, but don’t question me why on this (name of some childhood girlfriends J)

§         Urvashi

§         Namrata

§         Aayush (This one is not of a girlfriend J)

THREE THINGS YOU WANT TO DO BEFORE YOU DIE:

§         Go around the world in 8 dollars (Any Takers!!)

§         Have a training session from Lata ji and singing with Sonu Nigam.

§         And obviously, Live the life to the fullest before I die.

THREE PEOPLE WHO HAVE TO TAKE THIS QUIZ NOW:

Now its my turn. Yippeeee !!!!!!!!!

People whom I’m honoring by tagging are :

§         Rishin Chatterjee,

§         Saikat Bose,

§         Surbhi Sukhija.

Statutory warning : It's a game of chain and I didn't want to break this chain so that I accepted :). Hope that who are tagged in my list would not break this chain :). I know that how much I enjoyed while attempting the quiz. :)

Delhi - The city that never sleeps!!!

Last Friday I got the opportunity of attending my first corporate party ever. The party was organized to celebrate the successful completion of a project. Obviously excited, me readily accepted the invitation and reached the party venue, Nasha – a discotheque cum restaurant near Gurgaon at around 7.30 in the evening. Soon others also joined and we marched in. Reaching inside, we were amused to see the place reserved for us. It was kind of four or five joined Diwans (a kind of large bed). (It was looking as if we were about to witness some ‘Mujra’ or so from the likes of Umrao Jaan or Chandramukhi). Later we realized that it was the most sought after seating plan these days, as one can get quite relaxed and enjoy at the same time. There was a disc floor right next to the room where we were sitting. There were breezers and booze all over the place with each one having at least two drinks at the same time (Free ka maal tha na! J). Being a strict non-drinker, non-smoker I felt slightly out of place. Then started the session of singing and dancing. Being one of my favourite past time, I jumped onto the bandwagon and sang two-three oldies. All were literally ‘Tunn’ and nobody cared to listen to anyone. All were singing (or more appropriately shouting) and swinging and seeing them was a great fun for me (Still I was finding it difficult to refrain them from persuading me for a drink, so during the whole evening I could be seen holding a glass of juice, even when dancing). But overall it was quite an enjoyable experience for me as it gave me an opportunity of meeting some top-brass people and making good P.R. with them. As I’ve already said in one of my earlier post that I am a typical introvert guy, the festivity gave me a chance to break the ice with some of the colleagues. We all burned the dance floor till midnight and after spending all our energy there we finally persuaded ourselves to have dinner and similarly forced ourselves to go to our respective places. (Still, astonished to see that some couples are actually making their way in at that time precisely, 1.15 a.m. A rare sight for me as I am a seedha sadha guy going to bed pretty early). For the first time in my life I entered my house at 1.45 a.m., really scared but since no one was awake so briskly made my way to the room and threw myself to sleep still reciting the words from the song ‘Nach Baliye’ from Bunty aur Babli :

“Raat yahan pe hoti hi nahi hai
Yeh sadak to soti hi nahi hai
Palko pe chalte hoye bus khwab hai jaagte rehta hai”
