Finally Over!!

Its finally over!! So, my internship at GE finally came to a happy ending. Had a small farewell at the Cafeteria by the Finance team. The institute will be opening from 1st of July, so now I have a full week of doing nothing. Just chilling out, in this hot summer, zu Haus, scuffling with my brother, playing Basket ball in the Drawing Room, Table tennis on the Dining table, etc….. (Thus, trying to evolve new outdoor games that can be played indoors, of course if the house is insured :) ). Still feeling indolent and also being no new developments in life, there is nothing much to write about.... (more)

Away from Blogsville for almost a week. Well its shows how busy I was? (Hee hee.. Kehne main kya jaata hai). Seriously, I was involved in giving my summer project the finishing touch. Now, its almost over, but to the extent my close friends knew me, my finishing touch never neds as there are very few instances when I was fully satisfued with the look of the projects & presentations (Aamir khan ishtyle....).

However, I happened to lend my ear to a beautiful song from 'Parineeta' last week and I found it so mesmerizing, so good that I actually started singing it in the Office Cab, loud... (more)

My First Crush

You are my first crush,

In my heart and in my head,

All over the surroundings and in the air,

And yet I plead for more.

When you are away I miss you so,

My heart is full of sand.

Yet when you're heremy stupid fear,

Won't let me touch your hand.
I can not sleep, I can not eat,

I'm so swathed up in you.

My thoghts coast up, away from words,

And fade into the blue.

I know this not your fault,

The feelings are mine.

Yet if you could, please come to me,

And put your arms around me, and hold me and say,

you love me, You Love Me, YOU LOVE ME......

Till now I was enjoying other’s post on this tagging game and was thinking how this simple game be used to familiarize with the author. Getting out some secrets, some untold thoughts…. Well now its my turn to reveal a portion of me. Thanks to Rhicha who gave me this opportunity and hope that you all will like the post. (In continuation of previous posts, rather say insane posts, this post will also include some crazy comments not meant to hurt someone’s feelings. So please excuse me for that. Kyonki abhi to main “Ek Chota sa Nanha sa bacha hoon”). So here it goes,

Last Friday I got the opportunity of attending my first corporate party ever. The party was organized to celebrate the successful completion of a project. Obviously excited, me readily accepted the invitation and reached the party venue, Nasha – a discotheque cum restaurant near Gurgaon at around 7.30 in the evening. Soon others also joined and we marched in. Reaching inside, we were amused to see the place reserved for us. It was kind of four or five joined Diwans (a kind of large bed). (It was looking as if we were about to witness some ‘Mujra’ or so from the likes of Umrao Jaan or... (more)

Day Diary - Lessons from Yesterday

Yesterday was the day of mixed emotions for me. I got up early (around 5.00, truly following the saying “Early to Bed and Early to rise…”) and after a gap of approx. 3 weeks got ready for the office on time (O.K. agreed, not following it so keenly L). Board the office cab and wow! The girl on whom I had a crush, right from day 1, sat next to me. I was so pleasantly shocked that, I was listening to the music on my phone and the phone actually fell from my lap. The whole journey was a dream journey for me, but still I was feeling very uneasy. Anyways the cab reached office and I caught hold of... (more)

Don't stand beside my grave and weep,

For I'm not there, I do not sleep,

I am a thousand winds that blow,

I am the diamond's glint on snow,

I am the sunlight on ripened grain,

I am the gentle autumn's rain.

When you awaken in morning's hush,

I am the swift uplifting rush,

of quiet birds in circle flight,

I am soft stars that shine at night,

Don't stand beside my grave and cry,

I am not there. I did not die.
                                                                    -by Melinda Sue Pacho

Yesterday, I went to the institute. Why? that even I don’t know. It was just that I was thinking about the past year I spent there, studying, playing, wandering, chatting with friends…. and my feet automatically marched towards the cab going there. Even it is only 2 months when we last met, but still it was quite a blissful experience to meet friends in the hostel. The first person I met was the friend from Indonesia. I greeted her but to my surprise she didn’t reacted. Later I realized she is the twin sister of her who is also joining IMI as our junior. It was quite embarrassing, but a funny...
Internship - My Views

(Warning: This one is Serious J). According to the web definition of Internship, “It is a part-time job during the academic year or the summer months in which you receive supervised practical training in your field. Internships are often very closely related to your academic and career goals, and may help make it easier to gain professional employment.” According to me it is not only closely related to one’s goals but also some times facilitate in finding what one’s goals are? Taking our example, we before going to our respective summer projects were unconvinced about our prospective... (more)
